Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad was established in 1998. The institute is affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. AKTU was earlier known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). The courses are approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). AKGEC offers B.Tech programmes in computer science and engineering, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, electronics and instrumentation engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering and m.tech programmes in automation and robotics, electronics and communication engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering and mechanical engineering.
