DTU Admission Process 2021

The admission to all the programmes will be done online through the official website of the university.

• BTech admissions will be done through JEE Main score followed by JAC Counselling
• BDes seats will be filled through UCEED exam
• Admission to BA(H) Economics and BBA are merit-based
• MTech admissions are based on GATE scores
• MBA aspirants are required to qualify CAT cut off list declared by the university
• For MSc and BTech lateral entry, the university conducts its own entrance exams

DTU UG Admission 2021: BTech, BDes, BBA, BA(H)

The university offers four-year BTech programmes in 15 different specialisations. The selection and eligibility criteria for the same is given below:

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in JEE Main and JAC Counselling.

Apart from the above-mentioned courses, DTU also offers lateral entry admission to BTech and BTech Evening (BTech under continuing education).

At the undergraduate level, the university also offers BDes, BBA and BA (Hons) with a course duration of three years.

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in HSC/entrance exam.

DTU PG Admission: MTech, MBA, MSc, EMBA

At the postgraduate level, the university offers three PG courses under different streams and various specialisations. The course-wise selection and eligibility criteria is discussed below.

MTech and MBA are offered in nine different specialisations with a course duration of two years. The selection and eligibility criteria for the same is as follow:

Selection Criteria: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in entrance exam.

MSc is offered in three specialisations. The candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in Bachelor’s degree. Given below is the eligibility criteria for the same.

Apart from the above courses, the university also offers an EMBA programme for working professionals. The classes will be conducted on weekends only. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in Bachelor’s degree.

The minimum course duration of PhD programme is three years and the maximum course duration for the same is five years. The selection and eligibility criteria for PhD admissions is given below:

DTU Application Process 2021

The candidates need to apply online for the registration process. Register on the official website of the university and follow the below steps for the complete admission process.

Documents Required:

• Provisional Admission Letter issued by the DASA, MNIT, JAIPUR (original)
• Details and proof of fee payment – In case of payment by SWIFT transfer, the complete details should be enclosed with the printed application form
• The hard copy of the online application form submitted at the time of online registration, duly signed by the candidate and parent/ guardian (original)
• Recent passport size photograph (3.5 cm x3.5 cm) to be affixed in space provided in the printed application form, preferably same as the photo uploaded in the application portal
• Copy of candidate’s Passport (Nationals of Nepal who does not have a passport, copy of Authenticated Citizenship Card has to be submitted*)
• Copy of proof for date of birth (Secondary Education Board/ University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities)
• Copy of mark sheets of 10th, 11th, and 12th, (or) Equivalent examination
• Copy of certificate from School authorities (in the format given in Appendix – II of DASA 2015 brochure on the letterhead of the school) as proof of completion of 11th and 12th Standard or equivalent
• Foreign candidates can also apply for admission under the general category at JMI. However, if foreign candidates avail admission as general candidates then they need to take part in the admission process as mentioned for general category students
