Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999 The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act.

 The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been Accredited with a CGPA of 3.56 on a seven point scale at A++ Grade valid for a period of 7 years from 14-02-2023

 It is a teaching and affiliating University with the explicit objective of facilitating and promoting “studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education, for example engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc. and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.”

In order to serve the broad purposes for which the University was established, it set out its statements of Vision, Mission and Quality Policy which read as thus :

The admission process for applicants under foreign category shall commence simultaneously with the admission process for Indian applicants. The last date of submission of duly filled-in applications shall be th 30 June 2023. The first counseling, and the second counseling (if required) shall be held in the month of July 2023 and the admission process shall be completed before the commencement of the new academic session 2023-24 i.e.1st August 2023. (ii) The candidates are required to download the Application Form available at (iii) The duly filled-in Application Form completed in all respects along with the mentioned enclosures be submitted in Directorate of International Affairs Room No. 306, D-Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16C, Dwarka, New Delhi. Scanned copy of the duly filled in form along with enclosures shall also be mailed to international@ipu.ac.in (iv) The eligibility criteria for various programmes is available on University Website under the link of Admission 2023 which must be checked by the applicants and they should apply for a course after ensuring that they fulfill the eligibility conditions for that particular course. th (v) The last date for submission of Application Form is 30 June 2023. (vi) The applicants must submit scanned copies of the documents providing evidence of their eligibility for the said course along with the application form. (vii) The candidate must have attained the requisite qualification by the last date. The admission shall strictly be made on merit basis and first be offered to the candidates applying through ICCR fellowship/scholarship. (viii) The remaining vacant seats shall be offered to other international candidates strictly on merit basis. (ix) The admission shall be made strictly on the merit of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
