Institute of Engineering and Technology also popularly called ‘Engineering College’ is based out of Lucknow. This is one of the top-rated institutes of the nation that is affiliated with Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University from Lucknow. The college was set-up in the year 1984 by the Lucknow Government. The college has hostels for students within the campus itself.

The fees structure for all programmes at IET is less. The fees for the BTech programme for one year is INR 1,24,000, for the MTech programme is INR 46,000 and is INR 50,000 and INR 70,000 for the MBA and MCA programmes.
IET has international collaborations with Texas Instruments, TEQIP and IGNOU university. Their collaborations are aimed towards improving and building better systems for technical education.
To gain a seat at IET, applicants will need to sit for an entrance exam. BTech programme requires applicants to submit the UPSEE test score, have PCM in their 10+2 exams and also have 45% minimum marks, 20% of the candidates also are accepted on the basis of JEE Main marks.
MTech students are required to submit the GATE score. Applicants should also have 60% in their bachelor’s BTech degree. MBA and MCA candidates will need to provide UPSEE marks to gain admission at IET.
IET being a Government college has scholarships provided by the Government. The college offers intensive help to students to get need-based and merit-based scholarships. The college has a fee-waiver quota, which if an applicant manages to gain a seat under will have to pay reduced tuition fees. For other need-based scholarships, students need to prove to the college that the annual income of their family is below a certain level. Certain other conditions must be fulfilled.
