Established in 2001, the institute is also known as NIET. The campus size is spread over an area of 14 acres of land. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The mission and vision of the college is to provide quality education by fostering innovation and research and achieve academic excellence.
NIET offers courses in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Management and Research. NIET offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D courses. The total number of faculty members in the college is 193 and the total number of students enrolled is 4859. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at NIET is 15:1.

Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University releases the cutoff for admission to B.Tech programme. Scores of JEE Main are offered for admission and NIET cutoff is released based on JEE Main. The cutoffs are released as opening and closing ranks. Candidates meeting the cutoff can apply for NIET. The cutoff is determined by the number of factors like availability of seats, the difficulty level of the exam, the number of students appearing for the exam and so on.
